ABOUT US

WorldofMoney.org, established in 2005, is an award-winning New York City-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to empower young people with a solid financial education. We have had the privilege of empowering over 7,000 youths, aged 7 to 18, along with their families. Through our annual 120 classroom and online hours of financial education, youth business pitch competitions, and parent forums, we have made a significant impact.

Our unique approach has successfully broken the cycle of financial challenges across generations, transforming the way young individuals and their parents perceive and handle money. We provide an immersive curriculum that equips children with five fundamental principles for a financially responsible and philanthropic life: learn, earn, save, invest, and donate. To ensure the best possible education, our financial presenters are exceptional Wall Street professionals, esteemed business leaders, and legal experts.

Expanding our reach beyond the classroom, we have collaborated with coalition partners to license our innovative platform to scale our reach to impact more children and youth. At WorldofMoney, we are dedicated to shaping a brighter future for youth by equipping them with the financial skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in today’s world.

Through our Wekeza.com which means ‘save’ and ‘invest’ in Swahili, we provide family financial education and financial services, such as investing U.S. publicly traded companies.

District 7: Elementary School (Lower) Grades Two and Three

Hello Fellow Teachers!

Our students love learning through stories and games. This WorldofMoney course brings financial lessons to life in our 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms – right alongside our daily math and reading activities.

You'll love how naturally these money lessons blend with what you're already teaching. And your students? They'll be too busy having fun to realize they're building crucial life skills!

Why This Matters in Our Classrooms:

  • Many of our students see money stress at home affecting their learning
  • Early financial habits shape college and career choices
  • Smart money skills build confident, capable learners
  • Students who understand money make better decisions
  • Financial knowledge protects families from scams

District 7: Elementary School (Upper) Grades Four and Five

Hello Educators!

You know how our 4th and 5th graders are becoming such independent thinkers? I've found this WorldofMoney course fits perfectly with that "I can do it myself" energy they bring to class every day. They're at just the right age to start understanding real money skills they'll use throughout their lives.

Your students can learn how saving works using real-world examples, and you will see their eyes light up! They love discovering how money choices today can shape their future opportunities. (And between us, their parents are amazed at the money conversations happening at home!)

Why Our Upper Elementary Students Need This Now:

  • They're starting to get allowances and birthday money - perfect teachable moments!
  • They're showing curiosity about earning and saving their own money
  • Our students are asking thoughtful questions about how the financial world works
  • They're ready to understand savings and even basic investing concepts
  • We're preparing them for the bigger financial decisions they'll face in middle school

Thank you for bringing our engaging money lessons to your classroom? Trust me, your students will thank you (and so will their future selves)!

Please reach out if you have any questions or need support.

Best regards,

District 7: Middle-High School Curriculum

Hey Fellow Teachers!

You know those "When am I ever going to use this?" questions we get? Well, the WorldofMoney course answers them! Our teens are already thinking about money – from their first jobs to college plans to the latest investing trends they're seeing online.

This isn't just another add-on to our busy day. It's the course students actually text their friends about! When my student used our budgeting lesson to convince her parents to let her save for a car instead of buying the latest iPhone, I knew we were teaching something that is required in life.

Why Our Teens Can't Wait:

  • They're making real money moves now - from part-time jobs to payment apps
  • Their social feeds are flooded with financial "influencers" - they need facts, not hype
  • College and career decisions are looming - these choices can't wait
  • They're already using digital banking - but need to understand the risks
  • The financial habits they build now will impact their adult lives

Real talk: this curriculum doesn't just teach money skills – it gives our students the confidence to make smart financial choices. (And yes, you'll probably end up updating your own budget too!)
